Milano - Expo 2015 ed il ruolo della Chiesa Cristiana Evangelica "Gesù Vive"
L’Expo 2015, organizzato dalla città di Milano, ha per tema: “Nutrire il pianeta, energia per la vita”. Questa manifestazione non interesserà solo Milano e neppure soltanto l’Italia, ma sarà l’Expo di tutti i Paesi che intendono impegnarsi per combattere la fame nel mondo, per assicurare la qualità e la sicurezza alimentare, per diffondere stili di vita più sani, per combattere malattie legate ad una cattiva alimentazione, il tutto salvaguardando l’ambiente, tutelando la biodiversità e rispettando la cultura e le tradizioni dei diversi Paesi.
Fin dalla sua fondazione, il Cristianesimo ha avuto sempre una prospettiva globale, ed è proprio per questo motivo che ci sentiamo coinvolti in questa manifestazione.
L’obiettivo che l’Expo - Milano 2015 si è prefissato è notevole: contribuire a vincere la grande guerra del secolo, la guerra della fame, fame di cibo e fame di energia, grazie all’aiuto che può venire dalla ricerca scientifica e dalla tecnologia. E perché non considerare anche l’aiuto che può venire da Dio?
Le Scritture promettono ripetutamente meravigliose ricompense - immediate e future - per coloro che hanno fede in Dio e ricercano l’obbedienza.
Il modello di Dio per l’uomo, la Sua volontà e la Sua legge morale sono da sempre resi noti. Ancora OGGI Dio offre benedizione piena per coloro che credono in Lui e Lo seguono.
L’Expo 2015 raduna il mondo, perché allora non invitare anche il Creatore del mondo? “Senza Dio non c’è bellezza, senza Dio non c’è salvezza, senza Dio non c’è speranza, senza Dio non c’è purezza”!
Nutrire il pianeta: Gesù ha detto, “Io sono il pane della vita” (Giovanni 6:48)
Energia per la vita: Gesù ha detto, “Io sono la via, la verità e la vita” (Giovanni 14:6)
L’Expo 2015 si è impegnato a trovare soluzioni, così come fece nella Bibbia il Faraone ai tempi della carestia; ma la risposta e la soluzione non arrivò dai sapienti di corte, bensì da un uomo di Dio di nome Giuseppe (Genesi 39:5).
Così avvenne anche al tempo del re Nebukadnetsar: la risposta non giunse dai savi di corte, ma da un uomo di Dio di nome Daniele (Daniele 6:3-4).
Avere fede in Dio significa appoggiarsi a Lui ed alla Sua Parola. Il governante più grande e sapiente di tutti i tempi - il re Salomone - disse: “Confida nell'Eterno con tutto il tuo cuore e non appoggiarti sul tuo intendimento; 6riconosciLo in tutte le tue vie, ed Egli raddrizzerà i tuoi sentieri” (Proverbi 3:5-6).
“Levate in alto i vostri occhi e guardate: chi ha creato queste cose?” (Isaia 40:26): luce, cielo, sole, luna, stelle, acqua, terra, semi, esseri viventi nei mari e nei cieli e sulla terra.
Ed infine Dio disse: “Facciamo l'uomo a nostra immagine e a nostra somiglianza [...] Così Dio creò l'uomo a Sua immagine; lo creò a immagine di Dio; li creò maschio e femmina [...] Dio vide tutto ciò che aveva fatto, ed ecco, era MOLTO BUONO” (Genesi 1:26-27, 31).

Milan - Expo 2015 - The role of the Evangelical Christian Church "Gesù Vive"
Expo 2015, hosted by the city of Milan, Italy, will be held under the theme Feeding the planet, energy for life. This event will not only involve Milan or the nation of Italy, but all the countries that will commit to fight hunger, improving food quality and security, ensuring healthy and high-quality nutrition for all human beings, encouraging more healthy lifestyles, and preventing diseases due to a poor nutrition. All of this will consider the preservation of biodiversity and enhancing the value of cultural and ethnic heritage of the different countries.
Since the beginning, Christianity has always kept a global perspective. This is the reason why we feel part of this event.
Expo 2015 aims to attain a considerable goal: overcoming the biggest war of this century, that is hunger. The crying need is not only for food but also for energy. Technology and research can both help a lot to meet the need. But why not considering God’s help?
Throughout the Scriptures we find wonderful rewards – both for the immediate and for the future – for all those who trust God and are willing to be obedient.
God’s plan for man, His will and His moral laws have always been made known. TODAY God is not changed and is still ready to bless those who believe in Him and follow Him.
Expo 2015 will attract people all over the world; why not invite the Creator of the world?
“Without God there is not beauty. Without God there is not salvation. Without God there is not hope. Without God there is not purity”!
Feeding the planet: Jesus said, “I am the bread of life.” (John 6:48)
Energy for life: Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6)
Expo 2015 aims to find solutions as Pharaoh did in the Bible during the famine, but the answer did not come from the wise men of his court. It came from a man of God, whose name was Joseph (Genesis 39:5).
During Nebuchadnezzar’s reign still the answer did not come from the wise men of his court, but from Daniel, a man of God (Daniel 6:3-4).
Having faith means to rely on Him and on His Word. King Solomon, the wisest and the greatest ruler of all time said this, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
“Lift up your eyes on high, and see who has created these things” (Isaiah 40:26): the light, the heaven, the sun, the moon, the water, the earth, the seeds, all the living beings on heaven, on earth and in the sea.
Finally God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness [...]. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. [...] Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was VERY GOOD” (Genesis 1:26-27, 31).
Milan Expo 2015: we will be there!
